Rich layers of turquoise, coral red, violet, and gold echo the colours of the Indian Ocean, coastal reefs, and the luminous interiors of shells shaped by years of growth and resilience.

The oyster has long been a symbol of wisdom, prosperity, and transformation. Within this work, the oyster form becomes both landscape and vessel—a reminder that beauty, knowledge, and abundance are often cultivated slowly through experience and connection. The vibrant layers suggest stories carried by the sea: of First Nations custodianship, maritime journeys, and the pearling communities that have helped shape Western Australia's cultural identity.
